8 easy life hacks for teens

So finals are coming up, you need to buy Christmas gifts for friends and family, you’re trying to figure out how to get into college and to top it off, you just had an argument with your parents. If this scenario sounds scarily close to what’s going in your life right now, you are not alone. Teenage years, while fun, can be even harder than adult years. Competing with how your hormones make you feel, how your friends influence you and how your family accepts you is enough to make anyone feel out of sorts. No worries though! I’ve got 10 teenage life hacks that can keep you on the right path.

1. Eat Healthy.

So…yea. These life hacks are very simple, but during your teenage years, sometimes simple is best. If you can manage to eat a few pieces of fruit throughout the day, eat vegetables during dinner and have some healthy snacks, you’re well on your way. Today’s food companies have made boring vegetables and fruits a thing of the past. Not only will you feel good, you’ll also look good.

2. Drink Water.

Water is a great source of nutrients for your body. While it’s not the most exciting drink of choice, it for sure is the best. Research shows that drinking enough water is one of the easiest ways to control physical ailments. It also gives you energy and keeps your body functioning properly. Read this article for more information on water’s benefits.

3. Sleep.

Sleeping is one of the most effective ways to recharge your body. Sleeping at least 8 hours a night can be the difference between being happy and full of energy versus being grumpy and tired.

4. Listen to your Body.

If you know that you are tired, go to sleep. If you haven’t eaten a balanced meal, go eat something healthy. If you notice that you are more sad than usual or are getting upset too easily, seek help to get yourself back on track.

5. Make Good Decisions.

We all have that inner voice that tells us if a choice is positive or negative. Listen to that voice because it can save you from a lot of heartache and pain and also lead you toward the right path.

6. Don’t listen to everybody.

When making decisions, be sure to surround yourself around good influencers. Not everyone has your best interest at heart, so keep your circle small.

7. Accept Who You Are.

You are who you are, and that’s a beautiful thing. Never change the things that make you unique. Those same things that make you different will go far in the long run.

8. Relax and Have Fun.

Life is worth living, so be sure you keep your eyes open to all the good that is around you. Stay encouraged.

This is only the beginning!
